Indian carpets
The Indian production of carpets probably began in the 16th century. It was encouraged by the Great Mogul, who commissioned Persian weavers to make carpets for his palace. Today, Indian carpets are produced in large quantities and are usually inspired by Persian or Chinese ornaments. However, their quality on the open market can vary.
