Persian Ghom, silk ground and warp signed Djavadi
knotted in the city of Isfahan, which was the capital of Persia during the Safavid period and has characterised the art of carpet weaving. Isfahan carpets are considered to be the finest carpets. They are characterised by a high number of knots, rich ornamentation and high-quality materials. Isfahan carpets are characterised by many filigree details. Weft and warp are made of silk and the pile is made of fine cork wool and silk on the ground.
