Tabriz Iran cork wool with silk Image of Bonaparte crossing the Alps

In the knotting workshops of Tabriz, in north-west Persia, this bridge was knotted in wool with silk with great artistic talent. The knotting density is approx. 650,000 knots per square metre. This collector's piece is the work of a single master weaver.
