Persia tabriz fine cork wool

This carpet was knotted by hand in Tabriz with a fine knot density. The work here is of high Persian craftsmanship. The patterns are sometimes inspired by natural motifsIn the carpets are at other times Tabriz carpets with portraits of palaces and ruins or of famous poets. Tabriz carpets have a unique quality designation called "Raj", which refers to the number of knots in a span of 7 cm. The higher the Raj, the higher the quality and knot density of the carpet.
