Fine Nain Cork Wool and Silk Romeo and Juliet

This carpet was hand-knotted in workshops in the town of Nain in Central Persia, near Isfahan. The carpets are generally very light in colour, with a cream or deep blue ground and a central medallion. A high knot density and first-class materials result in high-quality carpets. They are produced in most sizes and are among the most beautiful in the world. They are very popular with collectors. This design depicts the Persian lovers Leila & Majnun.
