Persian Tabriz, cork wool with silk, oversize, rare example
The famous carpet provenance is the home town of the Persian province of West Azerbaijan in northern Persia. The famous Blue Mosque is located in this large city, along with many other magnificent buildings, and Tabriz has a great reputation as a carpet city. The preferred materials for making a Tabriz carpet are wool, wool with silk and pure silk.
